Paul D. Faringer, MD, FACS
Dr. Faringer is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who seamlessly integrates his highly refined surgical and technical skills with artistry and balance. Dr. Faringer specializes in a broad range of body and facial plastic surgery, such as tummy tucks (abdominoplasty),trunk lifts (belt lipectomy), liposuction, breast augmentation, breast lifts (mastopexy), facelifts (rhytidectomy), cosmetic facial shaping surgery, and eyelid tucks (blepharoplasty).
After receiving his medical degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, Dr. Faringer completed his General Surgery Residency and his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. Before coming to Kaiser Permanente, he was in private practice in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. He has been with Kaiser Permanente since 2006.
In addition to being a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Faringer is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, which has a special emphasis on cosmetic surgery. He has been named in Honolulu Magazine’s list of Top Doctors for 2015 in the area of plastic surgery. The list is compiled by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd which publishes a nation-wide list to help guide consumers to top doctors and top hospitals.
Dr. Faringer has a strong commitment to quality care and patient safety. He has recently co-authored a text on safety in aesthetic surgery in a supplement to Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®. He is active in several national plastic surgery societies involved with safety.
